Privacy Policy
ClipRecall is built so your clipboard stays yours. Here is exactly what the app does — and does not — with your data.
No data collection
The app collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising. There is no profile of you, because one is never created.
What you copy never leaves your Mac
The app itself makes no network connections and has no network entitlement. The optional tip (an in-app purchase) is processed by Apple’s App Store — the developer never receives your clipboard contents or personal data.
Your clipboard stays on your Mac
Regular history lives only in memory and is discarded when you quit. Pinned items are saved locally in the app’s sandbox container and encrypted with AES-GCM, using a key kept in your macOS Keychain. Nothing is synced to the cloud or sent to us.
Permissions
ClipRecall requests no permission at launch. Direct Paste is an optional feature, off by default, that you can turn on in System Settings to have the app paste the selected item for you — after you allow it, restart ClipRecall so the change takes effect. Without it, the app simply puts the item back on your clipboard for a manual paste. The Option + V hotkey opens the panel and does not log your keystrokes.
You are in control
“Delete All Data” in Settings instantly removes the in-memory history, all pinned items, the encryption key in your Keychain, and the current clipboard contents.

Website analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure page views and clicks on App Store links. Website usage data is sent to Google, and GA4 uses cookies. This measures the website, not activity inside the app. See the website privacy policy for data handling, URL filtering, and opt-out information.
